Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Connect is Telstra’s Global Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)-based solution that connects a customer’s UC phone system to Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). It comes with telephone numbers, incoming call capability, and outbound calling capability. It also supports emergency call and telephony number port capability (where local conditions permit)
With Telstra SIP, it’s easy to leverage the benefits of IP enabled Unified Communication (UC) systems underpinned by Telstra’s industry leading infrastructure.
Utilising Jasco’s partnerships with Telstra and Microsoft, and 20 years of experience in UC, we have been able to deliver industry leading solutions such as Microsoft’s Skype for Business, Telstra IP Telephony, and Cisco IP Telephony.
In addition to on-premise solutions, Jasco has been chosen by Telstra and Microsoft to be a leading solution delivery partner of the new Skype for Business Calling capability through Office 365.
Benefits of SIP:
- Improves productivity with a unified approach to communications
- Reduces call costs
- Streamline infrastructure
- Increase scalability as SIP channels can be expanded and removed quickly
- Improve management
